How do I know when my Forks (tines) need to be replaced?
OSHA recommends you always inspect forks during your pre-operational forklift inspection. If your forks (tines) contain any defects including but not limited to surface cracks, you are required to replace them. OSHA also requires you replace your Forks if they are showing a 10% wear at the heel. This should be measured every 6 months and recorded in your inspection log. For a complete list of OSHA’s recommendations as they pertain to Forklift Forks, check out their website.
What size forks (tines) are the most appropriate for my machine?
